C-Angio app for iPhone and iPad

C - Angio application was developed to provide information about coronary angiogram and percutaneous coronary intervention procedures to patients and their respective families.

The application can also be used to educate medical students, medicine and cardiology trainees, nursing and other ancillary staff.

It is not uncommon for patients who had undergone coronary angiograms or percutaneous coronary interventions to have difficulty visualizing the findings and understand the results of their procedures. Although the static images and videos of the angiograms try to fill this void but are limited as they are still difficult to understand and visualize.

C - Angio application provides a 3D representation of the heart, that can be customized to clearly represent the results for that particular patient. Because of the 3D representation and hands on experience, patients could better understand their results. Also the associated videos help patients and their respective families better understand the procedures.

C - Angio application also provides an avenue to save the information. After a percutaneous coronary intervention (balloon/stent) procedure, patients are usually given a card with stent details. However there is significant wear and tear of paper with time and important information is lost. The final results including stent information could be emailed to the patients so that information is never lost.
